Genealogists plan annual meeting here Oct. 29

The annual noon luncheon meeting of The Genealogy Society of White County, Illinois will be held Oct. 29 at the American Legion Hall in Carmi.

Guest speaker Seth Graves will speak about southern Illinois and the War of 1812.

The buffet luncheon will include roast beef, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, coffee, tea, rolls and cake. The price of the luncheon buffet is $15. This price includes both tax and tip.

The Legion Hall is located at 1206 Oak St. and is handicapped accessible. Ample, off-street parking is available.
