Learn how to research your family tree. Join Carol Sheaffer, of The Genealogical Society of New Jersey, for an overview of record types and sources for those interested in researching their family history.
Topics covered will include reasons for researching one’s family tree, how to get started, what types of records are available and where to find them – both in repositories and online. Multiple examples will be used. Pedigree and Family Group Record forms will be distributed along with handouts listing recommended books and websites.
