Genealogy workshop Oct. 6 in Lapeer

LAPEER – The Lapeer Genealogical Society, along with Derek Davey, will present a one-day workshop Oct. 6 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The day will be filled with educational information. Davey’s degrees include certificate of genealogy from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Toledo.

Mark your calendar. Registration is required. The event will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 433 N. Calhoun St., Lapeer. Door prizes, a welcome bag and snacks with be provided. You can bring a sack lunch or eat at a local restaurant during the lunch break.

The fee for this class is $40 each for Lapeer County Genealogical Society members, groups of 10 or more that sign up together, or $45 for non-members.
