Charles Douse (1898-1960)

Charles Douse was born May 6, 1897 in Pennsylvania. His father was Jonas Dauksa (a.k.a. John Douse). His mother is unknown, but it is believed that her name was Mary. Charles had one son William Douse who resided in Hollywood, Florida, at the time of his death in 2005. Family members interviewed do not recall the name of Charles’ wife. Charles has not been found in the 1930 census, however the indicates that he did not die until August of 1960. Charles died of lung cancer after years of working in coal mines.

Charles Douse was my great-great-uncle.
