DSC Genealogy Club Saturday

The Duxbury Senior Center Genealogy Club presents Michael Brophy at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. He will lead a discussion and PowerPoint presentation on “How To Start Your Genealogy Research – Beginners 101.” This event is offered free as part of the Duxbury Senior Center Open House from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 15. Brophy is a professional genealogical researcher, heir-search specialist and lecturer in the Boston area. In 2010, he was hired to conduct research for the NBC television program Who Do You Think You Are? on an episode dedicated to the family history of actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

Genealogy Club members will be on hand to personally introduce attendees to the computer lab and demonstrate how to access online databases for records around the world. For additional information, contact Pam Smith 781-934-6492.
